Member, Publications Committee
Missouri Library Association
With over a century of service and interest in the academic, public, school, and special libraries of its state, the Missouri Library Association connects libraries, and their library professionals with the goal of working together for mutual benefit and improvement. As a member of the publications committee, I and others are in the process of revising the association's website to maintain its currency, accuracy, and accessibility to users.

Proofreader
Library Student Journal
Free of charge and open to the public, LSJ is an Open Access publishing endeavor, seeking to provide a valuable resource to students, faculty, and the like with help from donations and the work of a board of volunteers. My responsibilites as a member of that board were not only to proofread incoming submission, but also to encourage use of the LSJ to other students and faculty in the field of Library and Information Sciences.

MOBIUS Annual Conference 2007, Lake of the Ozarks
The 2007 MOBIUS Annual Conference, "MOBIUS 2.0: Designing Our Future," centered around applications of Web 2.0 technology and the relevance of the changing nature of information to members of the MOBIUS consortium. As a Student Volunteer, I assisted in registration, troubleshooting, acting as a panel host, and doing other clerical work as needed. I also took digital photos of the conference that were later used in MOBIUS publications and comunications.

Volunteer Librarian
Eugene Field House and St. Louis Toy Museum, Saint Louis
A small museum devoted to the life of Eugene Field (local journalist and "Children's Poet"), the Field House also has a large and noted collection of 19th and 20th century toys as well as unique and rare books owned by Eugene Field. As Volunteer Librarian, my duties lie with helping the Assistant Director and Exhibit Coordinator manage the museum's print collection so that it may be used to supplement exhibits. I have also devised a call number system for the museum's reference library, and I have just started a project to revise and reorganize the museum's archival system.
