As a member of the MCO Help Desk, I provide software support, training, and record maintenance to the 58 libraries of the MOBIUS Consortium. I also look forward to representing MOBIUS at its Annual Conference in June 2010 and in future projects.

Adjunct Librarian
Jefferson College

Newly opened for the Fall 2007 semester, Jefferson College's new Arnold Facility boasts a Library and Information Commons that includes reference services, selected library materials, and a computer lab, among other options. Beginning as a Circulation Assistant, I assisted library patrons in finding information and their use of the library and computer lab's equipment, kept patron records updated, and processed library item requests. As an Adjunct Librarian, I also organized and presented library resources, helped maintain news listserv and webpage for College faculty and staff, and taught Library Use Instruction sessions to students.

Medical Records Clerk
SLUCare University Medical Group, Saint Louis

In response to SLUCare's role as both a health care facility and a teaching facility, the Medical Records Department is prepared to respond to the needs of patients, residents and physicians in a timely, courteous, helpful manner that is compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996.
My position concerned the tracking, location, and delivery of charts that are ordered at the last minute. I have also worked in chart return, filling chart requests for future appointments, and organizing loose health information. I have also served as part of SLUCare's Medical Records Process Improvement Team, a group within SLUCare that works to streamline the department's current practices to better fit the needs of its customers. Finally, I was until recently a member of my building’s Health and Safety Committee, a position I had to give up due to the fact that its meetings conficted with my class schedule.
